One thing I noticed is that in both Canon and Nikon the relative head position moves a lot more. I'm not sure why - angle of the camera, focal length, ? So the tracking would be potentially harder. I would think the same lens/aperture/focal length as much as possible should be employed.

yes, that was video af, here is the rest of the current series, it looks like there are a couple of af for stills tests:


1) Sony a7R II Long Distance Autofocus and Tracking

It looks like the Sony camera position is higher up and pointed downwards more.
