Yes, it feels like Sony makes gadgets. Nice gadgets that are capable of taking excellent photos, but gadgets non the less. If someone doesn't need fast zooms and, in particular, doesn't mind poorly engineered primes that require a lot of software manipulation to look decent, than their cameras should fit the bill. Even with this announcement, I would tend to go to traditional SLR design if one needs fast zooms precisely because of the whole ergonomic issue and the simple reality that there is no size reduction overall once you mount a 70-200 f2.8 or 24-70 f2.8 lens on one of these cameras.
