Wow, I didn't know that. I've never looked into the pros and cons of electronic shutters.

Do an Internet search {or just look over in the "Q" area} for "rolling shutter" or "jello" effect

I always thought I needed 1/8000 when I was in the market for dSLRs. Then I started using a M2, with max 1/1000 (which is realistically probably closer to 1/750 or thereabouts) and realised for most regular use it just doesn't matter.

Admittedly, colour negs are a lot more tolerant of overexposure than digital, so using 1/1000 in daylight with fast lenses is still viable...
