Sorry, Apple: The iPhone 7 camera is not better than Samsung's Galaxy S7

I don't have a smartphone nor am I likely to break down and get one any time soon (they can't hack what you don't have). But, I ran across this comparison article - and here you go.....

I'm in Hong Kong at the moment and it's amazing/amusing just how many street hawkers have the "iPhone 7" for sale. I asked one of them for a price and he said HK$8,300 (US$1070)

Yes, I'd buy an iPhone from a street hawker for more than the Apple price.

Not only are they in the street but I walked past the Apple Store (to a HK Land Rover event) and the hawkers were literally right outside the Apple Store doors!

Looking at what most people have in their hands, I'd say Samsung might just be the market leader here. The Chinese seem to be constantly on their mobiles.

Looking at the Samsung images, they looked really over saturated and had really odd white balance in some of the photos.

Truthfully, these are both cell phone cameras. The difference is small enough that it wouldn't make a difference. I own an iphone 6 and to me, we have reached the place in cell phones where there is no killer feature that makes you need to run out and purchase the next one. I'd be happy with either when my cell phone finally goes away, but I'm pretty happy with it right now.

I used my Motorola RAZR until earlier this year when AT&T said their networks would no longer support it, so reluctantly got an iPhone SE (which is still bigger than I like). I am pleasantly surprised at the sound quality of calls, and the way I use it a battery charge lasts a week. The other features? I don't much care. I expect I'll keep it until either it or I don't work any more.

So does mine. My more income than he needs step son gives me his old ones when he starts a new contract. Tess got the last phone, I got the a Galaxy S5. I don't care what kind of phone my phone is as long as I don't have to pay for it. MY battery in my iPhone 3 is getting a little weak, but I only use it when Tess and I are shopping indifferent stores so, it's not really an issue.

I use a S7 for occasional still & video in addition to its' communication functions. It has the best display I have seen in a consumer grade hand held device.

If you're my generation you pay $26 for your phone, and it lasts you 30 years.
(What a concept. )

I keep them as long as possible because the only more obnoxious than changing a phone is changing a car.

Time changed isn't it?

I paid Telus monthly for the last 30 years and they never give me a free phone. I bought at least 6-10 "land line" phones myself during that period.

On the contrary, cell phone companies eagerly give me a free phone every 2-3 years for the last 15 years, as long as I stay with them - AND - these phones can sing and dance literally.

Easy to decide.

I love my consumer electronics, but it is silly seeing news about people queuing around the block for a phone that's pretty much the same as the last two they bought. 😀
