Vintage Digital anyone?

Dusted off my old Nikon CoolPix 995, and had some nice natural light today.

Anything over ISO200 is rough on this one, but its still pretty cool what 3.3mp can do.

I always liked this quirky little camera, It was high tech in 2001.

Anyone still have their "Vintage" Digital Cameras? Post some pics!

Eric

I have a 5Mpx Casio (p505?) that served me well. Sadly I've lost the charger! I should seek one out..

Yup that's the one. Ugly but reasonably effective, though no one really made a good 5Mpx sensor in that era.

I still have my first digital camera, an Olympus C2040. I bought it back in 2000 or so when I was working as a freelance technical writer/technical illustrator and I needed a digital camera to shoot industrial equipment. I was writing operator and maintenance manuals and would have to take photos of the equipment in general and close-ups of specific parts/areas which were required for the various manual sections. I specifically bought the C2040 as it was the only digital camera available at that time with a f1.8 lens and most of the time I was shooting in poorly lit workshops/factories and couldn't set up lights.

This is the camera:

It took amazingly good photos considering it was only a 2MP sensor. I even used it to produce 360° VR views of guest house and B&B rooms to be used on websites.

Here's a shot taken on my 49th birthday (10 years ago) with my birthday gift to myself, a Michael Kelly Dragonfly fretless acoustic bass guitar (my profile pic was taken the same evening).

I used that camera for many years until it was replaced by my K-30 in April 2013.

The first I used was a Logitech Fotoman in 1992:
Logitech Fotoman - Camera-wiki.org - The free camera encyclopedia
Very low res, 8-bit greyscale. We would take pictures of customers at a trade show and print them in a one-off newsletter with an early desktop publishing program. Digital pictures were pretty rare then.

FYI, there is a similar thread started a few months ago: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/173-general-photography/320276-what-first...you-owned.html

Mine was an HP C20 One megapixel camera I bought in 1999. Still have it and it still works! I posted some images of the camera to the above thread.
Taken in 2002 at Turner Falls, OK
