Not as small, but just as sharp as always. No glass is needed so the normal optical performance is preserved other than crop factor angle of view changes.

Well, the size of the adapter adds size but in reality the GM1 or 5 are Q size....so its same as adapting to Qs.Obviously the better lenses perform better.One major advantage is speed boosting/focal reducing....an old F4 zoom K mount from film era becomes 2.8, the old primes get riciculous.
