All I need from Pentax is 50 1.4 that is competitive with the new 1.4 fifties hope Pentax will announce new primes soon.

Nothing I would want, but I wonder if that 100-400 isn't larger than my 150-450...

I'm interested in seeing the performance of the new 24-70 f/2.8 Art and the 100-400mm Contemporary. Of course not in K mount and likely never in K mount. But it is nice to see how Sigma is getting along these days... it seems they are the forefront lens developer these days.

f1.8 seems rather a strange option for 14mm full-frame.
Sigma probably made that lens just to prove they can, not because any photographers were asking for it.

what i'm really hoping is for sigma to release their Art series lenses in K mount with an mc-11 adapter even if its good for pentax kaf4 bodies only.

Would it be useful in astrophotography?

MC-11 adapter only functions because with Sony mirrorless there is no giant mirrorbox. So they have some wiggleroom to squeeze in an adapter in there where it would have been (compared to Canon adapted lenses)...

With Pentax, we already have a large mirrorbox so no space for an adapter...

The only way you'll see MC-11 like adapter for K more is if Pentax launch a mirrorless K mount body..

Oh... Probably better to petition Metabones.. they seem more likely to offer that.

Four new Sigma lenses leaked before CP+

14mm F1.8 DG HSM | Art
135mm F1.8 DG HSM | Art
24-70mm F2.8 DG OS HSM | Art
100-400mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Contemporary

Names and product images are leaked, but no more specs. A little more info like filter diameter, length, diameter and minimum aperture can be deduced from some of the images. All four lenses are for full frame, DG.

The big question are if they will come in K mount editions. Maybe KAF4 will make that easier for Sigma, or at least one excuse less to not offer it.

This isn't Pentax news, because you can be sure that none of these will be available in K-mount.
