Yeah, right... That *has* to be an April Fool's

EDIT: Oooh, except that this rumour was announced several days ago, I see...

That said, the A99 MkII rumours ran for more than two years before it was finally released, LOL

The funny thing is, they have the ability to make it happen - Canon mount compatibility, I mean. So this is one of those April Fools jokes that has just enough credibility to make it serious.

If someone cleverly designed an ad for a Pentax mirrorless full frame camera with a new short mount for compact lenses and an included extension collar for K mount compatibility, I wonder how many of us would spot it. None. Because it's exactly what Pentax would do - would HAVE to do - if they went Mirrorless.

The credibility of Sony offering Canon EF compatibility is seriously low.

I'm not even discussing the technical ability to make an adaptor-less dual-mount camera which includes an adaptor (isn't that an adaptor, in the image? - and the camera is clearly Alpha mount)?
Maybe it's a Schrodinger adapter - it's there yet it isn't, until you open the box

No, no... that's not an adapter. It's Sony's Canon EF Mount-Assist unit.

Definitely not an adapter...
