Placed on my desk today for consideration of purchase is a work colleague's Nikkormat EL with a 50mm f/1.4 Nikkor, a Sigma fisheye and some weird lens that might be a C mount, adapter whereabouts uncertain; I haven't had time to play with it all decently yet. The lenses look OK without obvious fungus or haze. The camera feels secure although the film back latch is a bit stiff (but secure).
Also, various filters and a tripod which unfortunately is N/G, plus original manual in nice condition and a bunch of how-to-be-a-photographer pamphlets put out by Nikon that were probably packaged with the camera... all in a very nice camera bag.
Needs a new battery before I can determine whether it works or not, but if it does and the meter is within a stop or so of my K-5, how much should I offer him if I decide to surrender to the siren song?
Too bad it isnt the FTN, that would be gold..Before buying, check the DOF button is its smooth. They were kind of noisy on the EL.
If its good, $150 would be ok if you get the 1.4
