XTrans, AFAIK, is a Sony sensor with a different color filter array. The GFX sensor is the same Sony as used in the 645z and other cameras.

Oh crap, there are only two company in the world, Sony and Microsoft, one produces sensor for every camera, the other bought up things and put their name on it !

Canon make lots of their own sensors.

Micro$oft like Google and Apple have thousands of their own developers and design and update lots of apps in addition to acquisitions like Skype and Minecraft.

@lotech: Your sarcasm is unnecessary.
I'm not happy with this situation - particularly with Sony acquiring Toshiba's sensor business, thus eliminating competition. I'm not happy with Samsung retiring from the market, with OnSemi (who bought Aptina and TrueSense/Kodak) being quiet. But I'm not going to pretend things are any different than they are.
