Any Droners?...mavic gets AIR!

A new release from DJI,these specs look pretty up there. It surpasses the Mavic pro in lots of capabilities.

The Mavic Air looks promising and probably take away more of the Spark market as well as the competing clones.

Unlike the Autel Evo, DJI had already lined up a host of well known YouTubers in-depth reviews released at the same time as their announcement. Must have had good incentives - or NDAs, as there were no slips from those reviewers.

The RYZE Tello's programmability and $99 price also looks interesting to me.

Probably not any more drongo droners then there are in other activities . . .

I believe they just rescued some people off the Aussie coast with the first test flight of a new rescue drone. It is also programmed to recognize sharks and give an alert.

Just goes to show there are always a "good" and "bad" application to everything.

I am not a fan of his style and nobody will throw away their gimbal covers or have any problems with the folding arms. But fortunately there are many other reviews.

I have a Phantom 4 and my concern with the Air is the short battery life and new communication mode.

There are many YTers who style can be questionable, however, the message of a concise comparison far outweighs the spec type review of those who havent used one.I'm not a fan of his style either but his content was helpful to me.

No question that with something so complex as a flying camera platform it is not likely that one perspective can cover everything let alone every individuals imposed priorities. If you've not had a chance to own or use a quality DJI product, then the Air seems to be as good as any to start with.

yes may have some legitimate purposes, just shouldn't be allowed out to the masses, wrong move, and do not want heaps of commercial use either, last thing we need is drones everywhere, if they do drone guns will become popular

This is a problem in Australia where there are vast swats of open land? How many do you even see a day?

The Mavic Air took my money.

I've been rock'n the P3P on so many of my travel gigs, that is was time to jump at 100mbit and awesome portability.

And yes...I am a 107 pilot too.

Yep!!! Or at least down the coast a bit!

Did you see some of the latest on Vimeo?
I was going to film him going out over the Ocean.
My Phantom took out an R/C plane - maybe interference?
Nice guy laughed when his bird took a dive - I warned him it might happen.

All good as his bird was a foam beater.

This was Thanksgiving.
