Nice review of a really great lens... thanks for posting

I haven't shot my copy for maybe a couple of years now... But I think you might have inspired me to take it out of the cupboard and try it on my A7II, maybe even my K-3

I have a #23A, but right now it's relegated to my "manual lenses in case aperture control fails on my K-30" kit. The DA 55-300mm lens has AF, and CA on the #23A is kind of off-putting.

The 23A is not generally prone to CA

Nice review. I just bought Tamron sp 60-300 23a lens. Unfortunately it just not going to macro mode. I try just like manual says, but it not turn to macro mode. Power and twist not help. I read by the lens reviews that it possible to repair. Need peering the focus ring rubber to backward and there is a screws under the tape. By the screws, I understand, can adjust the focus (couple?) But have somebody experience and guides to do that operation? Thanks,
Oh, this is my first post.

Problem solved. Inadverdently i pull object head and yes, IT fell into macromode. So, i think so that the lens manual also advises nyt which i may have on my bad language skills. First i peeling rubber back and loosen screws and swing.

Thanks. The macro mode takes some commitment to achieve. My copies all require vigor to switch to macro. I was all set up today to use two of my copies on my K5 and A6000 for a snow tubing trip for my daughters school but unfortunately the trip was cancelled due to a snow storm "ironically"

Will you be putting your review into words in the lens reviews? There are people that might have missed your video post.
I must admit to using my 55-300 exclusively since I acquired it but before that the 23A was probably my favourite of all my lenses for it's versatility and ability and can be had for a bargain price. That and my SP90 52BB.

In retrospect, I may have had an AdaptAll doubler on the back of my #23A when I had the CA issues.
