Out with the dogs....
Lumix ZS100 - it worked great on the puddle shots, but did not have enough dynamic range for most of the Tia shots. With the 1"sensor, you win some and you lose some.

Puddle art

A Pileated in a tree, just before Tripper spooked him.

Are you going to throw the ball or what?

I like the puddle art images. They need a polarizer to penetrate the surface of the water, but then you'd lose the reflections that add so much to the second image. Sort of having your cake and eating it.

With all our landscapes, sunsets, wildlife etc. photos, when we were selling at craft shows, a puddle art image was our best seller.

Not enough people look in puddles.

Dahlia routinely brings them to our attention. Years back M & I would walk with a friend of hers who had a big flat-coated retriever who would wallow in anything wet.

What usually happens to us is we set up, move around find exactly the right angle, set up to shoot, a dog comes and drops the tennis ball into the water right where we were about to take the image. The reflections image above was ruined seconds after I took the picture. Tenis ball, then go pick it up. Splash splash, puddle full of muddy water.

Sometimes we get lucky and get the shot off before they arrive.

ZS200 from a brief walk yesterday. SOOC resized jpgs. Probably could have moved the saturation up:

Today headed for the woods, with the Lumix ZS100 passing by the feeder

ZS100 bokeh takes a little getting used to.

She stuck her nose behind the tree, just when I pressed the button.

There's nice path behind him, where I can throw the ball.

This is not the way Hobblebush flowers are supposed to look

Wind and rain knocked many flowers to the ground.

The Red Berry Elder

Backed out a bit so you can see more of the plant
