FZ100 from the last few days. I've been travelling light.

The seventh image down looks almost unreal, but I know it's so because I've seen a forest in blinding colors such as that. Real eye-candy.

Well done. Been there, but not at sunset (rise?) and none of my images are that good.

You really have to get lucky.... right sun, right angle to the sun, optimum amount of change in the leaf colours. Where I live this was not good year for colour, but 50 mile south in Bancroft where these were taken things were better.

Amen to that. This year our maximum color is coming late for inscrutable reasons - dry Summer, extra mild Autumn? Timing of heavy rain and high winds also have obvious consequences. Color here is pretty good right now, but not like some "great" years I can recall.

It is a bit later here too. I'm wondering if the trees need the autumn rain in order to start moving the chlorophyll out?

Norm, I was in at Rainy River a few weeks back when it rained like crazy, and all of the red came down, but the oranges and yellows looked good.

Out with the ZS100. Some images it doesn't handle well, like black and white border collies, Colour contrast it handles very nicely. But the main thing is, the weight doesn't interfere with my walk.

Start of the walk, almost still on the property.

The think I always think but is hard to wrap my head around even though my minds know it full well, chances are those two galaxies look nothing like that at this moment. They have undergone 37 million years of change since they looked like that. The depths of time and the distances in space are abysses that many humans cannot fathom nor abide peering into.

People living in M51, if there is any, are taking a look at our Earth through a Giant Telescope and they just see Brontosaurs,
Dinosaurs, Tyranosaurs, one " Whirlpooler " says to his friend « you see, nothing that looks like clever livings on Earth ! »

M-1 Crab Nebula, apparent size 6'x4' magnit. 8,5 is only 6500 Light-Years from Earth ! It's the remains of the summer 1054

Messier-1 : Sky-Watcher 254/1200 + Samsung NX-mini at prime focus - No Filters used,
ISO 400 = 30 subs of 4 min. each Stacked + Levels to Highlight these Green Extensions.
2020 winter's weather conditions were totally appalling ( Windy ) hence the inflated stars.
I am the only one to show these Green Extensions around the left side of Crab Nebula !

That's an interesting thing about aliens sending messages to us. They would have sent the broadcast before humans evolved, and by the time we receive and decipher it, chances are they will be extinct.
