Which i saw in a link that came into my computer,i think they were from Adamora(is that the correct spelling)...then a subsequent post(probably on Facebook) said, said camera(A7iii) was on top of Amazon sales tree...

a lot of favorable reviews on youtube and other websites comparing to A9, A7rIII and other cameras.

To some extent we are all brand loyalist.
We always want to defend what we own.

If I had money I will buy the A7III. But I dont. I am now looking at the A6500. I really like Eye AF.
I am thinking of how to merge two systems for the meantime to see where I will go.
If the pros and cons of getting the A6500 is not good, or too much of a hassle, I will let it go.

I would wait just a little while before you buy.There a $$$ony announcement soon,its either the A6700 or A7$iii....if its the Apsc model,there will be good deals on A6500.

Thanks for the feedback. I know they are due to release the A7SIII. At least that is the rumor.
I thought the 6500 was released about 4 months ago. I doubt it will be a APS-C.

Either way it gives me more time to do my research.

Im debating on how bad the eye autofocus is on the a7ii. Its very affordable right now (new canadian is a out 1299). I could use the 85mm and 135mm on it (something i dont have on my pentax). And use my pentax as 'all around macro to portrait to landscape to astro'camera to use on travel and everyday life, and limit my sony to just portraits and creative lens options.

I agree. That being said, the relentless mirrorless cheerleading by surfar does tend to get a little old and I can see how it would draw some ire occasionally, IMHO...

The eye AF on the A7II is not bad. It only works in single shot mode, so it wont track like the A7rII/III or the A9, but it is pretty quick and very accurate. The eye AF work amazingly well on the A9 even in C-AF.
