I think the C1 Sony version that supports the A7III is in beta and will be out very soon.

Great camera.

Congratulations.
How long did you have to wait when you ordered.
B&H and Adorama show that its not in stock.

How give us some feedback on how it compares to your pentax system

I pre-ordered it on March 6th at B&HPhoto. It shipped April 9 and arrived yesterday April 12. I haven't had much time with it yet, but for one thing, the buttons and menus are way different and will take me awhile to get used to.

To all those who are thinking of getting the A7iii, you will not be disappointed. It is as good as they say.

Taken with the FE 24-105 G OSS f4. jpeg ooc.

A heavy crop of that photo.

Does anyone here know how to turn off the live view? I only view through the EVF.

EDIT: I Found out how but I want to still use the menu on the live view, I don't want to see what the lens sees on it if that makes sense.

EDIT: I found out how to do it, NVM. I had to set the live fiew to manual then set custom settings to turn on or off the live view

Sony Alpha A7 Mark III (ILCE-7M3) Expert Review

"Announcing the Sony Alpha A7 Mark III - Sony had the clever idea of telling everyone, that this was "the basic model" in the Sony Alpha range, and pretty much everyone published this, because it was quite frankly a little bit ridiculous. The Sony A7 III is anything but basic, easily beating other full-frame DSLRs for specifications and features. But it also means that if this is the "basic" model, then reviewers and customers are going to be comparing everybody else's full-frame cameras against the A7 III, both current, and any future full-frame cameras released. Almost as if calling it the "basic" model has set it up as a standard for everything else to be compared to. Bravo Sony, perhaps one of the most inspired marketing ideas of recent years."

Maybe Sony are protecting their position in advance of whatever Canon and Nikon do with mirrorless. By throwing the kitchen sink into this camera and calling it basic, Sony make it that much harder for Canon and Nikon to launch something which can compete on features and price. Their usual little games of slicing and dicing features against price are blunted. A smart move if so.
