TowerJazz working on a new full frame sensors with global shutter | Nikon Rumors

Hopefully Ricoh will have the opportunity to use this sensor before Sony buys them.

Global shutter is not new. Some European companies already do that for a while..
Some sensors are dedicated to industrial applications have 16ev and more dynamic range.
Other sensors are made for aerospace + defense car see in total darkness, have 50um large pixels (as you know , 10 x larger than photography cameras).
