The increased sales are probably mostly because smartphones are getting increased number of cameras in them.
But also that increased number of cameras are used for other applications, such as automobile, security...

Triple lens back cameras will become normal over the next few years on Smartphones,$ony and $amsung will provide lots.

$amy said last year they wanted to surpass $ony in sensor production.
