Choosing Camera Systems for Long Travel

Hello,
So I will be going on a one-month internship next month away from home, and I want to bring my camera with me. I am currently considering bringing my Sony A7 and my Minolta Maxxum 7, along with 3 zooms and possibly an AF 50 1.7. However I am also considering bringing a backup. So my questions are:

- How reliable is the Maxxum 7 in general?
- I have a ME Super with Winder ME II, a MZ-M, and a FE2 with MD-12, which one do you suggest me to use as a backup?
- If I don't bring a backup film camera, do you suggest me bringing several film lenses to use on the Sony A7 so I don't have to stick with the pellicle mirror in the Sony LA-EA4 adapter?
- If I do bring a backup, what set do you suggest? I would like my backup system to mirror the shorter portion of FLs of my Minolta/Sony kit.

My current selection of Minolta zoom lenses to bring are (not fully set, still debating on some options):
- AF 24-50/4
- AF 35-70/4 or AF 28-75/2.8 D
- AF 70-210/4 or AF APO 100-300/4.5-5.6

The Pentax lenses I have brought home for the summer are:
- FA 31 Limited
- FA 43 Limited
- F 24-50/4
- Takumar-F 70-210/4-5.6
- Porst 55/1.2
- A 50/1.4
- Lomo Volna 50/1.8
- C/Y Planar 50/1.7 (stop-down only)
- Rollei HFT Planar 50/1.8 (stop-down only)

The Nikon Lenses I have are:
- AF-D 35/2
- AF-D 50/1.8
- AF-D 28-105/3.5-4.5
- Vivitar (Komine) 35-70/3.5 AI-s
- Series E 75-150/3.5
- AI-s 50/1.4
- Factory AI'd 55/3.5 Micro
- TC-201 2x teleconverter

Sincerely

I don't have experience with the FE2 but the FM and FM2 (similar camera but w/o AV) were very reliable. My FM2 has been used for 30 or 40 years, and is still the camera I take in winter backpacking.

Also w/ the FE2 you will have Nikon mount lenses, so if the camera fails and you need to pick up a used body, a used older higher end Nikon [F2,F3, FTN, FM/FE(2)] it is likely to be the easiest to get, and it will work w/ your lenses.
And that means you can take the 55 mm f/3.5--what a great lens!

November 2016 I rode by train from here to San Diego so I could serve as our older daughter's co-driver as she drove back to Indiana for a new job. She has a Prius, which had quite a load with her, me, her two cats, and the stuff that didn't travel via Moving Van, so I minimized my luggage to a back pack ... and the small messenger bag holding my Q-7 kit. I did take pictures, both on the train trip out and as we drove back, so my lesson is that a basic kit of lenses covering "FF equiv" of 28mm-200mm will handle most of your "needs".

But I don't really have a lens that has that much zoom range. My Pentax system were mostly primes, and my Minolta Maxxum system were mostly 2x to 3x zooms. Only my Nikon system has a reasonably well-covered zoom lens. That's why I am thinking about bringing a kit of lenses.
