Originally posted by séamuis a friend of mine shoots nikon, he went and tested a D90 the other day because he was drooling over the video feature. he said it wasn't as good as he thought it would be but still wants it..... he uses D40 at the moment, I told him to either wait till after photokina or get a D80.. he still wants a D90.
what is your reason for wanting a D90 exactly? I dont get why you are 'tempted' to buy one.
It make a lot of sense to wait. I hope I don't imply buying it right the way to you guys. I am a cautious buyer, at least I hope I am. Owning two systems have a lot of implications. I opt for trimming my current gear to a minimalist list without the DA * zoom. I will keep my Pentax gear as is and add pancake and limited such as 21mm, 35mm, 70 limited.
And then I think about owning a Nikon dSLR for the zoom such as 18-105 VR and 80-200, and a 300 prime for shooting photos that require fast AF and burst rate. It is an inexpensive thought.
Thank you all for the comments!
