It isn't what the smart people are looking for, but the MP wars are still happening.
And I can't see them stopping any time soon

It sure doesn't help that some stores tell them the more the better.
I love telling them that I have a 4.6mp camera which will blow the IQ of most of their cameras away

I can't see this going over well at all. I am a former Canon G2 owner, but Canon lost me long ago. The new 5D Mark II sounds like an awesome FF camera, but they haven't a clue about enthusiast compacts anymore. I can see the Panasonic LX3 and MFT's cameras wiping the floor with the G10.

15mp, seriously? WTF. People that want that camera will probably be current SLR owners that want a small secondary camera; and SLR owners know better than to buy a 15mp camera on a 1/1.7 size sensor.
