it's written here that 35/1.0 is soft focus lens.

Hmmm. I've mixed feelings about that, but I guess we'll have to wait and see some example images. It depends what they mean by "unique bokeh" and "soft focus"... If they mean something similar in concept to the Helios-40-2, then that could work very well. Still, I wonder how much of a market there is given the increasing trend towards lenses that are sharp across the frame at all apertures.

So, it seems to render rather like film-era Soviet lenses. Looking at the photos, I'm reminded somewhat of the Jupiter-3 1.5/50. The things I notice most are the distinctive out of focus highlights, and very noticeable spherical aberration, but also the fact that there's plenty of detail.

Given my own tastes, I think I'd enjoy shooting with this lens... But I still wonder how much of a market there'll be for it, considering modern trends.

rather funny and interesting interview...this Deputy Director of KMZ said that next camera is planned to be made with Leica too...
