Sigma Full Frame L-Mount Body with Foveon Sensor

This is the full Sigma CEO conference video (with new FF Foveon L-mount info) – L mount system camera rumors and news

I have always been intrigued by the Foveon sensor and its potential. I hope Sigma can solve some of the problems that the sensor has with colors at higher ISO and make a body that isn't so buggy and quirky.

Foveon is a cool technology, but the essential physics of it (the wavelength-dependent penetration-depth of photons in silicon) severely limits both the DR and and color IQ. The problem is that silicon absorbs too many red and green photons in the supposed "blue" layer of the sensor and too many red photons in the supposed" green" layer to get a clean color separation.
