Same "old" sensor, yes - but a drastically lower entry price... less than $6k instead of almost $9k. Just shows how much pain they're feeling from competition in this sector and the overall decline in the digital photography market.

At $5,750, it's a more realistic proposition. And one would imagine it's a lot slicker in use than the original version which was pretty much "beta test" upon release...

Yes,this is what they should have released before the GFX.Its now competitive so we will see how well those "OLD" Fujis sell from now on!

They’ve also just released a new digital back for the 907X, which probably won’t be at a reduced price.

It's a very nice little body and the leaf shutter glass is appealing. Its still going to have slow AF and that is going to be its main weakness. I've seen some images taken from the 1st generation body printed 3'x4' and they were very, very nice. I think I like the glass for the Hassy system better than the GFX glass and Fuji is probably still making all the glass for Hassy.

Fuji don't make any lenses for the X1D system...Hassy glass for this system usually costs 50-100% higher than the Fuji equivalent(or similar).
This new body is a tweak, that's all.

The 100S plus 32-64 and 23 is similar cost to mk2 plus 35-75 and 21.Its chalk and cheese.Does someone want to pay for a name or a "revolution" ?
I know which will get my$.

You'll be better of buying the GFX100, it'll be a long term investment since it may remain the best camera ever made for a number of years. See good review here:

Heres an owners review, well he owns Gen 1.(I wonder what his 9K has devalued to,trade price 3K?)

Steve does good reviews, its a nice"looking" camera capable of great IQ.

There are better value options.

Interesting comparison to $$$ony 61mp as well.

If I won the lottery, then for grins I'd buy that X1DII and a brace of lenses. It is, as Huff says, a beautiful camera. I tried the X1D at a show a few years ago, and it just felt like total quality (my own Sony A99-based HV has a similar - though, admittedly, not quite so good - feel because of all the heavy duty machined aluminium body parts and titanium controls - it's a totally different feel from the original A99). But more than anything, I'd love to work with the image quality of the X1D / X1DII. I know there are 35mm and medium format mirrorless cameras with more resolution, but that really wouldn't bother me. If my budget wasn't limited, I'd be jumping on one of of these, regardless of other options...

Lovely to look at as well as high IQ.

Compared to Fuji...that HASSELBLAD badge is costing about 2000,then the lenses are 30-50% more...

I'll buy you one when I win the lottery though!

It would be nice to use for sure!

You definitely pay a premium for the Hasselblad name, but I think at least some of that 2000 is arguably justified in terms of the design and materials (if you happen to like the X1D / X1D II design, as I do)...
