Mamiya/Sekor 500 DTL - Very nice camera but the light meter needed repair a few times. My fist SLR.

Ricoh XR-M - have two. Really good camera.

Kodak Retina Reflex that took 126 film cartridges instead of 35mm film. - got it used for the novelty of the system. Awesome lenses on that camera.

First camera was a non-ilc 620 format Kodak Junior II folder - but for motor racing & planes it just didn't work (no surprise there then!) ,

So saved up the pocket & Xmas money and got a M42 Praktika FX2 and then the matching pentaprism - but then traded that for a IVB which I used until I became interested in other hobbies. Came back to photography with a very 2nd hand Edixa Prismat which, after I fixed it, I used for years (and I still have!) but then went back to Practica - a VB and then "graduated" to the bayonet Practicas and finished up with the BC10 and BC 20 (which I also still have ).There were also a couple of other Practica Bayonet bodies that I bought for work at HP before I bought a bayonet body for myself.

In between all those there was a Polaroid Sx70 (brilliant camera for its time) and a Nikon Film SLR I used at one contract job.

Finally jumped to a film Pentax MZ5N (had "lusted" after a Pentax for decades) for the photos on our honeymoon in 2000, with later added a Chinon 5--series SLR (also still in the cupboard!) as the K-mount backup.

Finally jumped to digital with a Samsung GX10/A.K.A K10D (via a Canon P&S to find out "what digital was about") - and then it's been Pentax DSLRs (K-5/K-R/K3/K3-II/K-30/K-70) ever since

Not sure if medium format counts, but back in the eighties I had a Hasselblad 500C with a 120mm macro lens for a few months. I sold it to finance the purchase of a brand new SMC Pentax A 400mm f/5.6. It was a special order from Japan and took more than a month to arrive. I still have it. No regrets about selling the Hasselblad. I never really mastered it, anyway.

Technically, none -- since the only non-Pentax-branded interchangeable lens cameras I've ever owned were two Sears-branded SLR bodies in the 1980s, which used the K-mount and were made by RICOH.

Leica M and LTM rangefinders and Bronica medium format.

As far as 35mm and digital SLRs go, the only brand besides Pentax are Yashica film SLRs which are M42 mount bodies and are interchangeable with Pentax lenses anyway.

When I told a couple of friends I was getting back into film, they lobbed a bunch of cameras at me. So here's what I have in addition to my trusty Pentax KX (my first SLR and still my favorite)

In current use: Nikomat FT2, Minolta XG-E, Ricoh KR-10

To be tested/tried: Minolta SR-7, Minolta RZ430si, Pentax IQ Zoom 90WR

Just dropped off at the shop: Nikon FE, Pentax MX

Broken, not sure what I'll do with it: Nikon FG

Old cameras missing in action: Canon EOS Rebel, Pentax MG, Pentax PC35AF

On the digital side, my current camera is my trusty Sony A6000. In the past, I've used a Canon Powershot G10, Canon EOS Digital Rebel, and Pentax K100D.

Back in 2012 I bought an Olympus Pen E-PL1 for $130. Later converted it to an IR camera. When my K-5 suffered some injuries and had to spend a few months in the camera hospital, I purchased an Olympus OMD E-M5 as a back up. I used it fairly regularly along side my K-5 cameras, more for the superb IS (much superior to the K-5, which I mostly shot on a tripod). When the E-M5 began to seriously fall apart (not a well made camera), I replaced it with E-M5ii. But shortly after that I purchased a KP, which is much more competitive in terms of IS; consequently, the use of the m43 system has declined considerably in recent years.

A few years ago my uncle gave me his OM-2 with an Oly 50/1.8 and a Vivitar 55 Macro. I doubt I'll ever use the camera, but at some point I might make use of the lenses.

My Oly Em1 (mk1) seems well built as does my gx-1 Panasonic and my dad's gx-7 and a friend's gx-85. I'm sorry to hear the em5 was not up to snuff. Glad to hear the KP has better IS than the em5 which has pretty good IS.

Something that I should mention - I have a Minolta SRT202 with Rokkor 50/1.4 lens that I have never used. I really must try to shoot some film again...

In addition to the 3 Pentax DSLR's (Kr, K-5, K-5II) that I have owned, I also have m43 Panasonic GX-85 and G85 bodies.

Pentax only since buying a Spotmatic II in 1972. Before that I had Praktica and Yashica SLRs.
