Originally posted by y0chang I loved my NX100, its what really kick started me into photography again after owning some point and shoots. I had a NX100, 20-50mm, the 50-200mm, the NX1000 and 2 copies of the 16-50 power zoom. Its sad that Samsung is out of the camera business, I loved their interface, their features, and they had lots of light cheap primes, which most systems can't even say now. I decided to buy a Pentax K-5 used on Pentax Forums because I owned a Ist-Dl and a 18-55mm kit lens and the rest is history.
The best camera is the one that you have with you. My NX100 travels with me just about everywhere. I have taken a like in street photography, almost entirely because of this camera. These days it usually sports a K mount adapter with my prime lens of the day - 20mm, 28mm or 50mm works best, but 85mm can be useful too. Anything longer becomes a bit much for street photography. If I anticipate being out and about after dark, I take my NX1 as it is a lot better in low light.
I have on occasion packed a Pentax body with a Sigma 10-20mm. Not much need to aim or compose at the wide end, just point in the general direction and shoot, hehehe. Great fun on the street, but the package is a bit big to travel with on a regular basis.
