Has anyone seen this? Standard 4x5 DIY Camera Kit

I just saw this on Kickstarter even though it's been fully funded for a bit now. A build-it-yourself 4x5 large format camera kit The Standard 45 1.0 KIT Standard Cameras

It looks really cool! Build your own camera. A really neat idea and something that I've always wanted to do but I'm digital camera form whereas this is large format analog. It's a bit expensive at $320 for the kit but definitely something that I'm thinking about. (I have no connection to the people running this company, just something that I find to be really cool). I also found some build-it-yourself mechanical watch kits that are really neat that I also want to try.

Looks like all you need in addition is a lens board and lens. This looks like a great project.

You can probably get lenses at swaps, but film development and printing or scanning will not be cheap so the cost doesn't end with the kit.

Looking at the details of the camera back, I would pass.

Bought, tried and sold the Intrepid and had the same concern. Not even close to being light tight. Had them send a replacement back but never trusted it.
