Me too. 20mp are more than enough for me given the fact that I resize most of my images at 4k resolution. I trade resolution for high ISO or fps anytime.
My K200D does 4K, so it's enough.

I'm sure you've seen me post 4x5 sheet film pictures here. What part of sheet film are you trying to emulate. The grain? The view camera movements? A specific film look that will most likely still always look like digital?

Some likely lenses to fill out the range.

35f1.2
50f1.8
85f1.8
10/24f4
70//135f2
Speculation at this stage.

I'm interested in the 85mm f1.8 which with 35mm f1.8 will be my travel and all around lenses. It will also be interesting to see the size and weight of 70-135mm f2. If they do the same thing like they did with 70-200mm f2.8 to make it small and light, then it will probably be my first pro RF lens that I will buy.

Did you try the 85 / 1.2 already? I just saw it in a store and it sure looked heavy and big. I wonder how it is to work with.

The glass is coming, budget(for canon) mid range and LLLLuxury!

A recent hint is a crop R body and 3 lenses,if that happens M mount has gone.

I think this is a really nice system developing there. I personally never liked the ergonomics of Canon and this would propably be true with the r series too, to be sure I needed to check though. Others feel different and it's great to have different options.
The pace in which those lenses are pushed into the market is rather impressive for me. I am also very curious where the prices will be settling. Right now they are pretty expensive but also pretty new, so not really unexpected.
Another interesting question will be if Tamron and Sigma will transform their lenses to R mount without adapting.
Exiting times in the Canon world!

Just a little. It's a monster of a lens. It's not available yet for rent so I'm waiting... I'm not going to buy it because the EF 85mm f1.4L is also very capable, it's smaller and lighter and it has also image stabilization which helps at corporate events where people don't move much.

If Canon manage to keep the RF 70-135mm f2 at the same weight as the RF 70-200mm f2.8 I'm going to be happy. I will have the best focal ranges for portraits at f2.

I guess sucks if you bought into the M system at all (EOS M has shorter registration distance so you wouldn't be able to mount their lenses on EOS R, even with an adapter). But as they say, you live and learn. The important thing to Canon is Canon's bottom line...

8K video full sensor readout.

Canon have released a few more snippets of specs.

Up to 30fps in 8K no crop with dual pixel AF.

Animal AF

No details of what cards yet but good guess not SD for main slot,2nd slot possibly uhs2???

No details on release date but probably delayed like everything else on Earth.

Do you have a link? I'm driving and it's hard to look for info while driving... This looks more and more like a beast, except the 45mp which I don't like.

There was someone who said something about one CFexpress card and one UHS-II card.

Canonrumours thinks to know about a production delay that will take up until fall for full availability.
They also wrote an article about a "confirmed" cfe and uhs-II slot combination.

R has 3.69m dots,its the intermediate model.

Id guess at least that ?R5 could have the 5.7mdotter???

I'm guessing Canon will feed little bits of info to keep everybody keen as the factory production is sub normal.

Ive read that Chinese factories are at 60%,many components come from there.I don't know where the R series is put together?
