May 16th is some sort of Canon announcement, possibly just a few more snippets but maybe the full specs and price and release date?

There is lots of speculation about record limits for the varying video modes and especially how the heat generated is dealt with.

There should be some more stills information too.

I thought the 100-500 4.5-7.1 was slow, 600 and 800 F11 are just worthless.

It will be interesting to see if the TC’s will work with the RF EF adaptor.

I've just never had any interest in video on a camera. Sony camcorder back in the day but looking back I never really used it much.
I'm happy to rely on my very good smartphone for the few times I need to capture video. I wouldn't base my next camera purchase on it's video capabilities.

Different strokes.

An 85mm f2 Macro sounds pretty cool but I bet it will be quite large and heavy.

Nikoshita has some leaks.

July 9th looks like all will be revealed as far as price and final specs go for R5 and R6.

New lenses become official too.

100/500

600

800

1.4x TC

2.0x TC

Some other minor things as well, but these listed are indicated as of most interest.

Images are leaking!

To my eyes it looks like a carbon copy of the R model.

Which isn't big,so I'm wondering how it'll dissipate heat.

I haven’t seen any 8k recording times from Canon so maybe they are not that long because of heat build up. Will be nice to get the full specs on the 9th.

I was looking to upgrade my 5dsr with the rumored high megapixel RF body but I’m starting to think about other options now. I’m using my 1DX2 now for 90% of my shooting so I am thinking about upgrading the 5dsr with either a 645Z or the Fuji gfx 50s but then the RF glass looks really good.

I don't really think they are worthless. I know plenty of birding spots where the later afternoon sun in plentiful and various birds, especially waterbirds have more than enough light where I need maybe ISO 400 for f/8, and f/11 is only one stop worse. A 800mm f/11 would actually get some pretty nice shots in a limited set of circumstances. If it's cheap it might actually be worth getting depending on what you shoot.

That much money for the R6 and it doesn't get an LCD display on the top deck seems unfortunate. The 85 f2 Macro seems like 2020's answer to the Tamron 52B. Pentax could use something just like that...
