Ah, I should've guessed Novoflex would have something like that. I knew they had an adapter, but I hadn't seen their tripod mount. Beautiful but, yes, probably too expensive for me.

Yes, good thinking. The lenses I have in mind are the Samyang 135 f/2, Pentax K 200 f/2.5, Pentax M* 300 f/4 and various old, long zooms. Since I'm mostly a casual snapshooter, the Manfrotto 293 is probably more than I need. But adding a generic mount to my adapter might be an improvement. I'll think about that.
