Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 5cm f/2.8 Exakta mount

Thinking about purchasing this Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 5cm f/2.8 Exakta mount from 1937. I'm drawn by the build and age. I really like how small it is. I also don't currently own any lenses from this time period. However, I'm not sure how it renders, or if it's even worth buying. I was hoping someone here could share their personal experience with this lens, and their thoughts about it. I also would like to know if it's really hard to service? I would like to clean the optics of some haze near the outer edges. I have the tools, and have done some lenses from the 50's on up.

Here's some photos of the lens.

Are you planning on adapting it to k-mount or just keeping it as a relic? The registration difference means either an adapter with a glass element, which probably negates any Zeiss Tessar goodness, or some serious metalwork.

I wanted to mount it to my nex camera. Via Exakta to Nex adaptor.

That should be an easy combo then. Unless it has fungus or dried lubricants in the focus helical and aperture blades should produce nice results
