There were (in video where they tried cameras with that x guy at video above, and they did shoot some in preproduction 100s . It did not look so good yet. But it could be that they have xt4 or something else. In Jonas task video it did look for a while as 100s, but onion ring bokeh at the times was not what should be there.

Looks a really fine camera but at 100mpx I’m wondering whether good shots really depend on a tripod. One tiny slip of the hand and at that res I’d have thought the result could suffer even with stabilisation. Still, this camera with a prime lens weighs less than the camera and zoom lens I lugged around the countryside this afternoon (with a smaller sensor) so I can see it’s tempting if you have the asking price. Not sure whether Fuji are using clever marketing to repurpose what is still basically a studio camera, though.

They use clever marketing which happens to coincide with clever R&D,win/win!

400mp rely on a tripod,100 can be done handheld.

A relatively old video,I talk to Matt here and there.

He has a good sense of humour.

With Nikon developing sensors, they could do one a touch smaller than the 33x44 size and it'd fit Nikons mount more comfortably. The 33x44 looks a very tight fit.

This is Matt's first suggestion of the Z mount being able to take a bigger sensor.

I believe it has 6-stop IBIS and does very well as a handheld camera. Even at 100mps.

No it does not do well handheld and no one should even assume that. I get more details out of GFX50R shot on tripod compared to sloppy handheld samples dpreview has provided with GFX100 cameras.

Use of flash changes things.

12MP cameras are good for handheld snaps. Tripods have been around since the beginning and there is good reason why.

I can't comment on your results, but other people seem to be getting tack sharp images handheld.

Now that the GFX100S is going to be available, we're going to see a lot of GFX50 for sale, and it's already happening, locally a GFX50 with a few thousand clicks can be purchased for 2500 euros, yes that's medium format! Curiously Ricoh didn't adjust their 645z prices still around 4000 euros, even used, it can stay on the shelf for a very very long time.
