The next Fuji GFX...100mp for $4999?

The next GFX body is the R version with the 100mp sensor.

Supposed to be coming this year and at a price below the 100S.

My guess is 4999.

So,for those who are unfamiliar its just a brick rangefinder style body.

Specs are similar to 100 and 100S,just the formfactor will be different.

Everyone who just dropped 6 K for 100s is not happy.

Well, they are happy. They all knew a rangefinder style will follow. Its just a matter of choice, some prefer centre VF,some on the side. Some will buy both!

The $4000 price reduction of the GFX100S was achieved through removal of battery grip, removal of removable EVF and XT4 battery, no battery charger and no manual.
So, I guess the next model at $4999 will not have any battery (power bank should be carried separately or via small diesel generator or wind powered), no viewfinder , no LCD display, no buttons, no user interface

Or could it be that these are so cheap to be made that in 10000€ there was 4000€ worth of air.

Fujifilm branded air is more expensive than normal air.

Yes,the 50mk2 may be a rumour,I wonder where the sensors will come from seeing its discontinued?

Maybe Fuji bought a lot of them at one stage?

Fitting a 50S sensor into a 100S body (with image stabilization) at a slightly lower price than the 100S would be smart competitive move: blocking most existing MF competition completely and taking some share of the FF mirrorless market. Hasselblad OUT, Pentax OUT.

Internet users who claim that the 50Mp sensor is EOL have just made this up that this 50Mp MF sensor can't be produced anymore. They know nothing and have no evidence that the 50Mp MF sensor can't be produced for further years. It is one of these very sticky idea (online), as the other idea that one can cut a MF sensor and get a FF or apsc sensor from it, also a sticky but completely wrong idea being repeated on the web by some individuals.
