For those with less inclination to waste time on videos for them kids:

At theheart of the EOS R3 camera’s performance will be an EOS camera first, aCanon-developed, full-frame stacked CMOS sensor with a back-illuminated design, providing substantially faster read-out speeds during still-imaging recording. This completely new sensor is designed to produce less “rolling shutter”distortion during Electronic Shutter operation and offer continuous ElectronicShutter still-image shooting at speeds up to 30 fps — with full Dual Pixel CMOSAF and auto exposure1.
Full green mode AF:

In addition, the EOS R3’s subject detection AF will offer newrecognizable subjects for its AF system, bolstering its focusing capabilitiesduring challenging shooting conditions.
Eye AF with Eye AF:

QuoteQuote:
The ElectronicViewfinder of the EOS R3 will offer photographers the ability to select theinitial area for AF tracking by simply lookingdirectly at the viewfinder location where they want to begin AF. With Eye Control AF2 and Servo AF activated, the camera will focus on and trackmoving subjects at that location in the frame. When Face Detect + Tracking isactive, the camera will continue to follow moving subjects around the entireactive AF area.

Pretty fascinating tech, but yeah. Price wise, it's gonna be way out of my league. In the end, all of these higher end cameras are not even on my radar, 'cause they're way too pricey! Hahaha!

I have, unfortunately, no interest in such high speed cameras. With digital, the quantity of images isn't lacking, I have far too many images that aren't worth anything, and a few excellent ones that I wished would have had more resolution unfortunately I can go back in time to re-shoot them with a larger format camera.

Based on the email they have pushed to me, B&H apparently thinks they will sell a lot of them.

I think the camera looks silly. Where are the aesthetics? It looks like someone took the blur tool to a picture of what a camera is supposed to look like and called it good.

Who cares what it looks like, it's how it performs that matters.

I must say I've never cared for Canons aesthetically, but they are mean functional machines and it's good to see them giving Sony some competition to bite on in the mirrorless world

We apparently have different ergonomics standards.
I love the fact that - like the K-1 - the KP allows me to change shutter speed, aperture and ISO without ever lowering the camera from my eye.

Apparently Canon has an impressive sensor in this beast
"Canon’s first full-frame, back-illuminated stacked CMOS image sensor in the EOS R3 will deliver
substantially faster read-out speeds, and produce much lower "rolling shutter" distortion than previous EOS models."

What camera doesn't let you do that?

Well, the Fujifilm XT3 and XT4, to mention two, don't.
They have to be lowered so one can read the markings on the dials {or have them memorized}.

added: It is strange for surfar to 'pick on' the KP here in that way, since the Canon Rebel I had
this time in 2015, before it died and I purchased a K-30, looked and worked basically the same as a Pentax camera.
