Yeah, that articulated screen probably has much more use in shop appeal than in practice, tripod work aside. For overhead shots, (And I used to do this back when the only thing you'd see was a memo holder if for some reason you were looking at your camera rather than your subject) the LCD on a K20 as is has a wide enough viewing angle, (I can hold this guy up at arm's length over my head and still chimp) you could just look up to check framing for that purpose, anyway, without wondering which way the screen is angled to the camera.
For that kind of situation, you've got to know how to point a camera *before* some pay's riding on it.
With digital, it's really cheap to practice, and there's autofocus, now.
Nice for tripod work, mind you, I'm sure, but that's the home of the 'optional accessory.'
