Canon 580ex flash

Hi Folks
New to pentax bought a k10d for outdoor work which will join the 16-50mm due in August but also have a canon 30d with the above flash. Just slightly worried could there a variance in voltages between the K10d and canon flash.

Thanks for your help

This should probably be in the Camera Accessories section, but im sure Mo will move it if need be.

Now, to your question. I wouldnt worry about the voltages and what not. Ive used a Sigma flash for pentax on my canon heaps with no ill effects. Just make sure you use manual everything on the flash. I think you can also fire it wirelessly using the k10d's commander flash mode.
