Interestingly Cosina manufactured 35mm SLRs for nearly every major brand.
Here's a recent Cosina budget K-mount SLR model with the Voigtlander name:
Voigtlander VSL43

Agfa.

Damn the ten character limit!
It would appear the Agfa brand name got bought by the same folks who bought the Tashica name.

Although we don't have any in stock we've been processing a fair amount of Agfa brand film lately.
Judging from the image quality I've seen it looks like pretty good consumer brand film.

It looks like there are some differences such as the film speed but they are very similar. The VSL43 speeds are ISO 25-1600 in 1/3 stop increment compared to 25-3200 on the Cosina C1s. Also, the C1s had a Copal shutter that would work without batteries. While the C1S had a mechanical shutter, the VSL43 is an electronic shutter.

I'm mad for Voigtlander and would love to have one of those VSL43's.

Looks like PhotoVillage has it for $189. I personally think I would like the mechanical Copal shutter in the C1S better. That's the only major difference that matters between it and the VSL43. The specs on the shutters are very similar and the film speed is only counts on paper in reality.

Apparently I jumped the gun by shoveling dirt on Praktica earlier. The "new" Pentacon still owns the name and still markets p&s under the name.

PRAKTICA: New

Apparently Heinrich Mandermann saved the name after "Treuhand" closed several camera companies just before reunification. Pentacon - Camerapedia.org

However, Mechanik Kamera Werkstätten VEB Niedersedlitz is gone as is Ihagee (original Kine Exakta and Exakta).

The "new" Pentacon (Pentacon Gmbh, Dresden) is marketing items under the Praktica, Exakta, and Schneider Dresden which apparently employees 150 people.

Pentacon was a model name then a company name formed in 1964 by the merger of Welta and Kamera Werk. Ihagee had already been assimilated following WWII.

Due to mergers prior to WWII and the shake up following WWII, one nearly needs a Ph.D. in German camera history just to follow it. Several companies merged to form the large Zeiss Ikon and then was split up after WWII.

Last I looked you could still buy a Rollei.
Likely you can ...there are some around but the factory has closed. Here is an article by Michael Johnston of The Online Photographer on this topic:
