how much would you pay for a Bessaflex?

too bad I wasn't into Pentax when these came out. I did own a Voigtlander R2 for a while and it was nice. Now that the Voigtlander Bessaflex is sold out and hard to find, how much would you pay for one? I found a couple on ebay, but they started at $459. Ouch

That's a lot of money for a camera that requires stopped-down metering.
You could get a like-new classic Pentax SLR for far less.

I did not have the 400 at the time, nor do I now, but 500 for a Bessaflex (as new) is not too bad.

I'm mad for Voigtlander products simply because of their quality, but I don't know if I'd pay $500 for a used Bessaflex. If I were in the market for one though I'd watch for a while to see what the average price should be for one these days. If it is for a collection then hold out for one in superior condition. If for everyday use then you can lower the bar a bit. I like the clean looks of the pentaprism without a hotshoe.
