Konica Love

Every Konica camera I own - Auto S2 and C35 rangefinders, Big Mini point & shoot,
and one of my favorite cameras of all time, the Hexar AF - has a superb lens.

Does anyone else here use a Konica camera?

Chris

I've got two that I've never even used. An Autoreflex T and an Autoreflex A-1000. A 28 f/3.5, 52 f/1.8, 57 f/1.4, and a 135 f/3.5 to go with them.

Nice cameras, very good lenses.

And yeah, the Hexar RF is very sweet. Not that I'd give up either of the Leicas for it.

I used my parents' C35 rangefinder occasionally while growing up. Nice compact cameras within their limits.

I decided to take the plunge and try a Konica SLR, a T4 body with AR 40/1.8 pancake lens.
I've heard good things about this lens, and the body is the last Konica mechanical SLR.

Ooh, that does sound like a fun combination.

I use a Konica TC Autoreflex all the time, and its probably the best camera I've ever used. The optics rock.

I've got an Autoreflex TC and Autoreflex T3, and I have a 400mm F/5.6 Tokina lens and a 50mm F/1.4. I've barely used any of it.

It started when I found the 400 at a thrift store for twenny bucks. The cameras were purchased on ebay to facilitate figuring out if the lens works.

I have the Autoreflex T3 with me at work today. I plan to shoot my first roll through it.

I shot a roll through the TC and liked what I got. It's a little weird, though, and especially hard to use in low light with its reverse-backward system for setting exposure.

Good to hear the positive feedback on Konica SLRs.
My T4 is sitting here gathering dust while I save up enough for the CLA it needs.
I found someone reasonable to do the work. Hope he's half as good as Eric...

$90 for CLA, seals and foam, 1.5V battery conversion and new leatherette, return postage included,
so a little more than Eric charges. If the work is good I will post repairer's contact information here.

FWIW Greg Weber quoted $165 for the same work...

Do you know anyone who might work on Konica AR lenses? I have a Tokina 400mm F/5.6 for Konica that won't focus at infinity, and I think it might just need to be adjusted somehow.
