Lemon Tree Very Pretty...

I guess this non-Pentax, non-SLR post is acceptable. After all, the film forum is the safest place in PF land.

I was thinking of the old Peter, Paul, and Mary song today as I was doing a short camera porn session with my newly acquired Yashica Lynx 5000. You might remember the words..."Lemon tree very pretty and the lemon flower is sweet, but the fruit of the poor lemon is impossible to eat...". Well, my new Lynx is a lot like that lemon tree. Very, very pretty, and purchased for a song as B-I-N on eBay. Sadly, it was received virtually DOA. Focus and film advance work. Everything else is kaput, even the rewind. Sad, sad, sad. At least it is good in FRONT of the lens

I secured what I think is a functional replacement this afternoon. We will see...

Steve

P.S. The seller made good and refunded the purchase. I got to keep the camera and the shipping charges.

And a potential parts camera. By the time I am done, I may have to join a Yashica forum somewhere!

That is absolutely beautiful... I work in the event industry and it would be a great rental prop for movies and sets...

Is the lens as nice as it looks in the pics?

Functionally nice...hard to know...shutter is broke. By reputation it is a competent optic. Clean, shiny, and scratch free...yes!
