I think the NX10 should have had a GF1 form factor, but with a better grip. Snip off the integrated EVF/flash and make it pluggable and thus the whole camera more pocketable.

1 - Remove the grip by replacing the AAs with a rectangular Li-ion
Please not. A decent grip is good, you hold the camera by it!

4 - Develop an adapter so that current lenses can be mounted (maintain registration distance and electrical contacts)
Note that screw-drive lenses probably become MF-only.

Otherwise I agree with you.

Agreed - as much as I like black jelly beans, I do not like my cameras styled in that vein. Some of the new Sony dslrs have this rounded look, and it is fugly, to put it mildly.

m4/3 has adapters for standard 4/3 lenses that grow the relatively small lens system quickly (and giving it a larger install base off the bat). A manual adapter is not going to sell this camera to a Pentax user any more than to any other brand user - for their sake they'd better have at the very least proper aperture control to get any K mount users on board.

It pumps a bit. But definitely much more useable than with K-7.

Nevertheless, K-7 had AF in video in beta firmware, then removed for the final product.

You have no evidence if NX - the final version - will have AF in video or not. Some early product testers said it won't.

I believe both the GH1 and GF1 from panasonic do - it may also be lens-dependent, not sure. The G1 didn't have video, and I don't know about the olympus m4/3 models.
