Yes, but the hight and width of the NX is almost the same as the K-x. Once you hang a lens on the front, who cares if you save 25mm in depth.

It's most likely they leased intellectual property rights, the AMOLED is theirs i think but most everything else is from Pentax even the body's materials it seems. I'm not sure whose property the EVF is, i know Canon was one of the first to use it in their bridge cameras, possibly Panasonic?
The animated menu is definitely theirs as they use that style on their mobile phones.

That would be great, because perhaps then Pentax could release an EVIL camera with K support. The next version might even be as desirable as the m4/3 crown jewels.

Exactly

Exactly, maybe Pentax has to wait a specified ammount of time before they can offer up their own NX10 version.

Something is keeping Pentax from manufacturing 3 dslrs thesedays as they used to. Painting colored parts for K-x can't be that complicated to sack an entire production line.

Impending 645D ???

Pentax Manufacturing Samsung NX10 ???

Similar but not quite. It's basically an optical viewfinder, that you look into - like in P&S cameras.
Only difference is that it can rise a mirror to reveal a small LCD at one side of viewfinder. I'm just not sure if the viewfinder optics support this (i'm guessing the eyepiece lens should be collimating to view close lcd, but dot know if simple optical viewfinders have collimating rear lens).
