Yes, this "friend" will kill you, DWB. Gorgeous photos otherwise.

Awesome shots, DWB! I hope my copy of the super-wide is as sharp as that one.

DWB - Wow! That 180 is amazing. If my LBA comes back around I think that's now on the list...

Yeah, I really like it.

As was much discussed in Jay's thread about it at dpreview, the only downfall it has is purple fringing wide open against high-contrast objects, but that's really to be expected with any such lens, especially an older design.

Here's a 100% crop from the only shot I had that problem with yesterday:

Ended up just desaturating it. :P

.

My Sigma 24mm Super Wide II arrived today - only had time for a few sharpness-test
snaps. (all wide-open)

Crop of above left:

Crop:

(don't judge me for fly in house and dirty, peeling windowsill! )

It looks more than sharp enough, I'll have to test for distortion, etc with some
better shots later.

A 16mm 2.8 prime! (I'm still thinking in aps-c terms.)

Where did you order it from, is it the BIM version? You seem to be getting all the
lenses I want right before me

Fredmiranda's buy/sell forum. $275 shipped. Only issue is some of the rubber on the zoom ring is a bit worn.

It's not the BIM version, but it doesn't have a hood (bought an authentic one on eBay for $10).
