Camera porn: Cineflex V14

For the last week we had a BBC shooting crew here at the research station where I work. Boy was I ever drooling over the camera gimble they had dangling on a truck mount. It was the gyrostabilized Cineflex V14, same cam that was used in filming many scenes in the Planet Earth series a few years ago. They showed me a glimpse of the test footage they got the first day here and it was already pretty fantastic! It was hard to concentrate on my own work for the rest of the day after that. It was this group: HD on the Move
Can't wait for the film to come out on blu-ray!

They were filming the 'Frozen Planet' and I think it'll be aired in 2011.
