Handheld experience

I'm keeping my options open brand wise and had a look at a few bodies today.

I don't often go into stores to hold cameras but I just thought i'd bad mouth a few bodies.

Canon 1000D & Nikon D3000 felt like a big piece of plastic, with the Canon 1000D feeling slightly better than the Nikon. Just out of interest I held the K-x also and was not fond of it at all. I'm just surprised how my K200D felt against these new cams. It's SOLID!

I held the K-7 for the first time today and it feels great. The size compared to the K20D is amazing.

How does the K-7 feel compared to your K200d? I plan on buying one soon, sight unseen and am a bit hesitant.... though i never got a chance to see the K200d or hold it before purchasing but hey that worked out pretty well

It worked out pretty well for me too. Although, The K-7 feels smaller. I'd have one, but the K200D feels a lot better in my hand.

AF is definitely better on the K-7.

The K-x is ridiculously small. I would not own one because it lacks a top LCD.
