Ricoh GXR/P10 28-300mm

This is the third unit released for the GXR system. I don't get it personally, with a 1/2.3" sized sensor, what the difference between this and a P&S?

well, it is a P&S range with an advanced compact camera housing.

Ricoh makes fantastic expert camera with one of the best ergonomic and this GXR worth more be used with prime+aps-c module of course (there's a 50mm and a 28mm to come) but this P10 one is more of a 'complement' to it.
