Full Frame or 1.6 sensor with TAKs

I am seeking opinions and comments to the following:
I am the proud owner of 4 TAKs and very happy with
their performance. Presently I am using a 7D and a 10D
With these lenses. What bugs me about these camera bodies
Is the 1.6 sensor. My experience is from the old school:
Full frame! I am considering selling these bodies and
Purchasing a used 5D Mark II full frame.
How do the TAKs perform on full frame?
Does the 1:1.4/50 Super TAK have interference with the mirror
on a 5D? What about the 1:3.5/28, 1:2.8/105 or 1:4/200?
I know I will have to dish out cash to make-up the
Purchase, but willing to do it for the full frame.
Should I go for it or stay with the 7D?
Comments and opinions are appreciated.
Thanks

I can't comment on your choice of cameras. Takumars, and all Pentax lenses (K-M-A-F-FA) up to the DA series were designed for full-frame cameras. Full-frame Canon owners snap-up our Taks. Some of the faster Pentaxi have protruding rear elements that require modifying either the camera or the lens. Some of our K and A 50/1.2s are BUTCHERED for the raw animal pleasures of Canoneers, curse them! Most Takumars aren't so endowed.

There are a number of lists out there of which body and lens combinations will require you to shave your mirror. I seem to recall there is a difference between clearance on the 5D and 5D MKII, and that you will have to modify either for the 50mm f/1.4 and several other lenses.

There are a number of full frame samples in the Takumar club and on Flickr but it will take a bit of searching to find them.

Here's one list of M42 and K lenses that fit or don't fit the original 5D. Whether the Mk II is different in this regard, I'm not able to say.

FWIW, I got one of mine from a Canon user. So they go around.

Couple of days ago I purchased 2 more TAKs. They should
arrive before the weekend. The price was reasonable, 2 lenses
for under $85.00 (1:1.8/55 and 1:4/150 excellent condition).
Now, all I have to do is find time for a test run.
Thanks for all of the info!
I will keep my present camera bodies.
I love Pentax especially old glasses but since Pentax doesn't provide digital FF camera, I went ahead and bought an used Canon 5D mark I to put my old M42 Takumars on. The differences are very noticeable, especially the DOF and FOV. My Takumars really shine on the FF. I love my Super Takumar 85/1.8 on my 5D.

While some lenses need to be modified to fit on the Canon 5D, a lot don't need to. Check that compatibility list to find out which ones. In general, lenses with focal longer than 100mm should not have any issues with Canon 5D mirror.

How much better is the DOF with the FF?
I do a lot of landscape and need 3 feet to infinity sharpness at f16.
Focus stack can not be done with moving objects in forground.

Thanks

Just looked-up interference chart again, both of my wide angles can not be used on the 5D
Still interested with the DOF on other lenses.
Have a look here

The original 5D has a longer mirror* than usual for a full frame DSLR - so it often has the be shaved to clear the rear element on a takumar 50mm f/1.4 at infinity focus - just a heads (mirror) up .

*i'm not sure if the Mark II version continues this "feature" since I never bought one.
