Leica M-P Rangefinder + 28mm-my bucket list

Canon made some excellent LTM rangefinder cameras and lenses, and many feel that until the M3 came out the Canons were better built and easier to use. The Canon IVSB and SBII stand up well against the Leica IIIf. Some of the Canon lenses through the 1950s and into the '60s were at least as good as the Leica equivalents. The 50 1.8 and 1.4 are excellent normal lenses, and I use the 1.8 on my Leica IIIf.
But the Leica M series viewfinders are hard to beat - except the Zeiss Ikon ZM (made in the early 2000s) is even nicer for old eyes. I think the Zeiss RF was not as rugged, but when in adjustment it is tops.

My Mamiya 7II viewfinder was pretty darn good. I think just as good as my M9. But as nice as it was I really needed a more rugged travel camera so I picked up a fixed lens Fuji GSW690III rangefinder instead. All mechanical. No batteries. Prefect. It's viewfinder is not nearly as nice as the Mamiya but useable. Just some plugs for medium format rangefinders since most people here are into small format rangefinders.
