Does anyone have experience with the Olympus OM D E M10 Mark 1 or II? I'm interested in knowing if the EVF is "laggy". Some reviewers online say it's crap, while others don't seem to have a problem with it. I'm looking to add a light vacation camera to complement my K-3.

The price seems good too. $750 for the Mark II with the 14-42 lens and $599 for the Mark 1 version. This will be my first foray into micro 4/3's cameras with an EVF.

I've used the EM-5 and EM-1 and never had much problem with viewfinder lag. Alternatively, for a nice compact kit, what about more Limiteds for the K3? Used, the 15, 21 and 70 can be found quite inexpensively, which with the K3 makes quite a compact kit.

Yea, I'm thinking about that too. All I need is a DA 15 that I could pair with my FA 43 or FA 31 and be set to go.

I have an E-M10 mk 1 and viewfinder lag has not been an issue for me. There's a high fps mode that makes the EVF even more responsive at the cost of focus peaking and EVF resolution. But even in normal mode it's responsive. And even though they only use CDAF they attain focus really quickly and silently. I'd probably spend the cash on the mk 2 camera if I was starting out. The EVF is even better, as are the ergonomics. But both E-M10s are great cameras.

I haven't used either of the EM-10s, but I have used the EM-5 and never had any trouble with "laggy" EVF (although I don't shoot things that move, so maybe that's why the laggy part of EVFs don't bother me).

Incidentally, B&H still has EM-5s in stock, and they're selling them for $379. Personally, I'd take the EM-5 over the EM-10v1 any day, as the EM-5 has 5 axis stabilization.

If you want to keep things really small, you can hardly do better then the Panny 12-32. If you want a little more range and weather sealing, the best consumer grade choice would be the Oly 12-50.
