Their figures for their total imaging division can be calculated though...just take 30% of their total turnover of Fujifilm.

Check this out if you havent seen it.
According to their last quarterly report, if I have this correctly, Fujifilm turned over about 90 billion yen from electronic imaging in their last financial year and they reported that “revenue increased on strong sales of the X series of mirrorless digital cameras”, though this presumably refers to that quarter not a full year. This is distinct from their Instax operation. Whether they make a profit on their electronic imaging biz is not known because not broken out of their figures, and I don’t know whether electronic imaging means cameras only or other stuff too. Even so, that turnover is far ahead of Pentax, Olympus and Leica, and perhaps of Panasonic too (their consumer cameras only).

Well from that doco which was done late last year or early this year.

"5million instax cameras per year" which "out sells their other cameras by 4 times".So the total of their other cameras...compacts and ILCs(are there others?) must total 1.25 million.

Well, I saw one (an XT-2) in a cafe in Lower Mexico, just this morning, and an Instax last week in the same place, so they are out there. However, they just happen to be the first ones I’ve seen over the last couple of years of travelling Europe (North of Mexico, last time I looked) and Australia. Not many Sonys either, so you have to wonder who’s buying them.

Sensational claim, but you know that the "sell" is part of the job of the marketing types.

The article bases on a baseless "internal document",
We don't even know from who, where or for what.
Even those at best "knowledgeable guess" based on quarterly trends can get so wrong (we got there with over projection of DSLR growth just 5-6yrs ago)

There is also no expectation that Canikon will not also play the same ball and also do MILC (Canon already did, but not yet FF), slowing the move to Fuji MILCs.

Its as good a claim as what everyone else can make.

Nikon also did the 1" sensor series.

PhotoKina may reveal the CaNik FF M/L???...i did see 4 patents from Nikons for cameras recently.Rumoured to be P1000,D650,D760 and 4th one ????..without a Mirror perhaps?

P.S., Fuji's sales of digital cameras are dropping. Their financial reports prove people are not ordering them like crazy.

A remark that they did make public a while ago was that they wanted to be number one in M/L,so they are chasing $$$ony for that title.
